Truevine Baptist Church
Truevine Missionary Baptist Church / Brandon, MS - Development of an overall master plan for the future expansion of Truevine Missionary Baptist Church. The centerpiece of the planned expansion is the new sanctuary, which would accommodate approximately 1,000 individuals. Plans also designated space on-site for a new education building, which would provide new Sunday School rooms to meet the needs of the expanded congregation. The plans called for renovating the existing sanctuary for use as a choir rehearsal room, a fellowship hall or additional education space. New site features included covered walks and porches that would link all of the buildings together. There was also a courtyard and a picnic / playground area in the plans that were defined by the spaces between the various buildings on the site. -
First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church Expansion / Jackson, MS - Our firm provided services for the expansion of the current sanctuary to increase seating capacity from 750 to 1,400. Our team reviewed the concept of building a new sanctuary and investigated three potential sites. We then were commissioned with providing two concepts to enlarge the current sanctuary to expand the facility. The final concept provided for the complete rebuilding of the sanctuary seating area and widening the chancel area to accommodate a large choir loft and thereby enhancing sightlines. 2007 MS Builders and Contractors Merit Award Best of ’08, Judges Award for Design by South Central Construction.
