College attended: Mississippi State University
Why you chose architecture: Born and raised in Chicago, I was fascinated with the tall buildings, and one of my teachers told me to look up the word “architecture.” That evening I fell in love and knew then that I wanted to be an architect.
First job: When I was 15, I worked at Western Auto in West Point, MS.
Favorite childhood memory: Coming to Mississippi to visit my grandparents: 1) selling vegetables from the back of a truck; and 2) riding a horse and being scared to death!
Favorite meal: My favorite meal is all meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Favorite [architecture] project: My favorite project has been Mr. Jeff Barnes…LOL…Really, it was designing Peeples Middle School. I love designing educational facilities!!!
What got you through architecture school: Prayer

What’s on your iPod: Gospel, R&B, and Jazz
What you like about DPA: No one has a Doug Dale, Jeff Barnes, Charlie Alexander or Gary Bailey. I cannot forget Russ and Leigh!!!!!
Dream project: To design a school in Africa.
What you would do if you weren’t an architect: I would probably be a Life Coach or Chef.
Hobbies: Catering, Baking, and Graphic Designing

How would you describe yourself? I am a loyal friend, dependable, honest and committed. I love people, care for all and will give my last to help. I believe I can do anything I put my mind to it.
What are your architectural strengths? As I state them, they are the front and back ends of a project: Programming/Designing and Construction Administration. I am a problem solver.
What’s your new favorite tech gadget? Revit and I thought it was going to be this new smart crock pot/pressure cooker. The cooker didn’t work, had to go back to old school!!! Remember: Old school is the best school!!!!!
