A New Look, A New Life

In 1902, when The Mill celebrated its first grand opening, it was built to keep workers in Mississippi and improve lives in our state. Today, it’s improving lives as a home for research, new ideas, and celebrations of all kinds.

A public private partnership of the best example, The Mill at MSU development wouldn’t have been possible without developer Mark Castleberry, Governor Bryant, Dr. Keenum and the MSU administration, Mayor Parker Wiseman, Peachtree Hotel Group, Copeland and Johns, Todd Sanders and the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, the National Park Service, and several more entities that all worked together to provide funding or get legislation passed for this development.
