Pediatric Emergency Department Renovation and Addition / University of Mississippi Medical Center / Jackson, MS - Dale/Morris Architects provided programming, planning and design documents for the relocation, renovation and expansion of the existing 4,000 SF Pediatric Emergency Department at UMC into a new 18,055 SF department. The department will continue to share a connection the adjacent Adult Emergency Department to allow cross-use of staff. The goal of the department is to create a self-contained, flexible children’s emergency department with its own identity while maintaining its association with the only true children’s hospital in Mississippi—UMC Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.
