Campus Master Plan / Central Mississippi Residential Center / Newton, MS - Our firm was contracted to provide a feasibility study representing the completion of the first stage of a comprehensive long-range master planning effort by the MS State Department of Mental Health and the Bureau of Building, Grounds, and Real Property Management. Its purpose was to evaluate the 56-acre property and existing facilities, including housing units, at the recently acquired Clarke Baptist College facility for adaptive reuse, renovation and/or construction of new components. The study encompassed an analysis of existing buildings, site infrastructure, outdoor recreation facilities and undeveloped portions of the property. Specialized consultants were enlisted to evaluate and define the condition of existing structures and components relative to the proposed outline program.
