Pascagoula Riverfront
Pascagoula Riverfront Development / Pascagoula, MS - Our firm is providing multi-phased master planning and architectural services for new mixed-use riverfront development for the city of Pascagoula. Development plans call for components such as office space, public parks, restaurants and residential and retail space. The project site already contains a three-story parking garage that the city built with grant money. The project is estimated to cost $50.0 million. This development is seeking to restore architectural character and pedestrian vitality to the riverfront. Master planning and full architectural services. -
Two Lakes to Farish Street
Two Lakes to Farish Street (Downtown Riverwalk) / Jackson, MS - This multi-phased downtown flood control project consists of a new 28-acre man-made lake surrounded by mixed-use urban housing, a new sports arena, a festival park and a marina. A river walk winds northward from the marina beside a proposed convention center expansion along the western edge of downtown Jackson and terminates at the recently renovated Farish Street Entertainment District. A proposed civil rights and gospel music museum will anchor the northern end of the river walk along with numerous music venues, restaurants, bars and a new boutique hotel. -
Tradition Trails MP
Tradition Trails & Transit Master Plan / Harrison County, MS - Our firm worked with Broaddus Planning to identify a network of trails and transit routes for the 4,800-acre Tradition development. Located in the center of Harrison County, Tradition has the potential to serve as the link between the coastal communities and the Hattiesburg metropolitan area. A more developed and integrated transit network will help to relieve the regions dependency on automobiles, reduce CO2 emissions and improve connectivity between neighborhoods and access to regional amenities. Each element of the Trails & Transit Plan is geared to maximize public usage. Proposed multi-modal transit hubs are located along major transportation corridors. Proposed trailheads allow access to an extensive network of water, hiking and biking trails. Proposed educational trails enable students to explore local ecological and cultural heritage sites. Point Cadet Master Plan
Point Cadet Master Plan / Biloxi, MS - Our firm collaborated with Arquitectonica on the development of a master plan for the 16+ acre Point Cadet property. This collaboration included the design of a new aquarium facility that was planned to provide exhibit space, laboratories, conference rooms, classrooms, offices, a restaurant, gift shop and 700,000 gallons of various aquaria. The project also was planned to include a new waterfront amphitheater, waterfront boardwalk, 660-car parking garage and a renovation of the existing J.L. Scott Marine Education Center and Aquarium. The developers of the complex include the Institution of Higher Learning, the Isle of Capri, the State of Mississippi and the City of Biloxi. Old Capitol Green
Old Capitol Green Development / Jackson, MS - Our firm, along with Entergy Mississippi and two other architectural firms, developed a preliminary master plan for the development of four blocks bound by State, Pearl, Jefferson and South Streets in downtown Jackson. This project will be the anchor for and a gateway to the capital city. The project will create a regionally competitive destination area; create a vibrant mixed-use district with 24-hour activities; attract new businesses, residents and visitors; promote economic, land-use and racial diversity; promote the use of well-planned public green space; promote synergies and connections with other CBD developments; and encourage additional redevelopment. Several components include structured parking, office space, retail, restaurant, entertainment, residential space, a hotel and cultural/community space. MS State Hospital Master Plan
Mississippi State Hospital Master Plan and Facility Evaluation / Rankin County, MS - Development of a campus-wide 10-year master plan for a 350-acre site to establish a framework for future development. After an analysis of the existing buildings, our firm developed a set of architectural design standards distinct to the campus. We presented recommendations for future development and provided design guidance. The goals included: 1) Address requirements of the Joint Commission for Accreditation for Health Organizations (JCAHO). 2) Determine the existing and proposed utility corridors/systems to allow phased implementation of the master plan. 3) Develop functional diagrams of proposed future buildings and renovations to assist in planning and budgeting. 4) Establish a palette of site and architectural guidelines. 5) Develop broad ROM cost projections for future projects. Main Street Taylor MP
Main Street Taylor Master Plan / Taylor, MS - The Main Street Taylor project involved the planning and design of a “traditional neighborhood development” (TND) to meet the growth demands of Taylor, MS. The preliminary plans called for more than a dozen artist studios and a special Montessori school focused on art education for the small arts community. The master plan included a new community center, various businesses, an antique mall, bank, old-fashioned cinema and approximately 150 new homes. Jackson Convention District
Jackson Convention District Master Plan / Jackson, MS - Our firm is providing multi-phased master planning services for the design of a new convention center district for the city of Jackson. The master plan includes the new Jackson Convention Complex (JCC), completed in December of 2008, and the up-and-coming Capital City Mixed-Use Development. A continuation of the master planning effort involves the River Walk project which embraces the new convention complex and other entertainment/hospitality facilities in the central business district. The mixed-use development will include a hotel, residential areas, retail, restaurants and a parking garage. Master planning services; 3 blocks. -
CMRC Master Plan
Campus Master Plan / Central Mississippi Residential Center / Newton, MS - Our firm was contracted to provide a feasibility study representing the completion of the first stage of a comprehensive long-range master planning effort by the MS State Department of Mental Health and the Bureau of Building, Grounds, and Real Property Management. Its purpose was to evaluate the 56-acre property and existing facilities, including housing units, at the recently acquired Clarke Baptist College facility for adaptive reuse, renovation and/or construction of new components. The study encompassed an analysis of existing buildings, site infrastructure, outdoor recreation facilities and undeveloped portions of the property. Specialized consultants were enlisted to evaluate and define the condition of existing structures and components relative to the proposed outline program. Biloxi Preplanning
City of Biloxi Preplanning / Biloxi, MS - Dale Partners, in association with Wallace Roberts & Todd, LLC, was recently selected to create a new post-Katrina comprehensive plan for the city of Biloxi. The scope includes the development of a new long-term growth plan, updated zoning ordinances, development of subdivision regulations, and the preparation of architectural design standards governing new construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, renovations, repairs and additions to structures lying within the designated downtown area of the city.
