Federal Correctional Institution, Low Security / Yazoo, MS - T. Doug Dale served as the Lead Architect for a joint venture contracted to provide services for the development of a low security federal correctional institution to house 1,600 inmates and a federal prison camp to house 512 inmates. This 1,600-bed facility includes three low security housing buildings for 512 inmates each with special housing for 72 inmates. A safety and sanitation area and personal services area were also included. The 512-bed federal prison camp includes two low security housing buildings for 256 inmates. This complex meets Federal Bureau of Prison and ACA Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions. Construction cost: $52.6 Million; 1600 beds; 512 beds (Federal Prison Camp); Completion date: 1995.
