Medgar Wiley Evers Heritage Village / Alcorn State University / Lorman, MS - Our firm provided full architectural services for this new housing project that adds 1,002 beds in five buildings to the campus of Alcorn State University. The buildings are wood frame with 80% masonry and 20% stucco exteriors. The housing component consists of four buildings (two “L”-shaped and two “I”-shaped) and is approximately 250,400 GSF. There is also a new 8,400 SF Campus Life Building (Amenities Building) that includes a convenience store, leasing offices, a health spa and game room. The project site lies on the southern edge of a picturesque lake and is connected to the campus by a pedestrian bridge crossing the lake.
